Ever since I could talk, I would sing. For my seventh birthday, I hosted a karaoke-dance party, and told everyone I wanted to be a “princess-rockstar”. When I was in fourth grade, I won a talent show singing a Disney cover of “Dynamite”. When I wasn’t singing, I was re-enacting all the scenes from movies that I could remember. And then sophomore year came in high school. It was a new school, and we put on our first musical—Once On This Island Jr. I’ll never forget the moment I watched the TONY AWARD performance of the new Broadway cast while we rehearsed for the show…I knew from that moment on exactly what I wanted to do with my life.
